SC - My mother's health.....

Last Thursday, many of you know my mother went in for lung cancer surgery.
She was due out of the hospital today, but the Doctor has said she'll need
to be in for another couple of weeks- they haven't even removed the chest
tubes yet. She's eating well because she's forcing herself to, but she's in
pretty extreme pain- they can't use the IV pain meds as they'd like because
the IVs keep blowing out (her veins are small, deep, rollers, like mine) so
she's on shots which never come soon enough.

Since my brother and his wife aren't bothering to do what they said they
would, her friends and her church are filling in with getting her mail and
such, so she's OK there. She could really use some dstraction, so any of you
who are willing to send her cards, please do. As I've said before, those of
you from foreign parts would give her a particular thrill ;-)
