SC - lichen

Hello the list!  Maybe lichens had a special exemption?  I had always 
understood that they, like fungi, were not actually part of the plant world. 
  Heh heh, maybe vegetarians ought to refrain from eating any of the other 
kingdoms to keep their name unsullied?
