SC - Recipe 1-Weekend of Wisdom

Ras,

What was your inspiration for this dish?  I can
understand the melons, the grapes, the mint and even
the sugar [altho' I would not have sweetened something
already sweet, but this is just a personal opinion.] 
Why the dragees?
