No, I personally don't need a period gnocchi recipe. That was what Phlip made 
for the feast. Someone else inserted the 'modern' word into the conversation. 
My original post  directly referred to the period gnocchi and then, as is 
most often usual for a bunch of cooks discussing things, peoples went off on 
assorted tangents. :-)
