SC - re: chard

Lorix, now you've got me thinking...

I'm afraid I don't remember what you were using chard for (and I don't keep 
the digests) but some people are referring to it as a beet found in shops 
with turnip and the like, and others say it would be found with spinach and 
the like. I've only ever used the leaves - is the beet part used in cooking 
as well?
