Are you sure about this? And, if so, would it be possible to share the
reasons why you think so? I have been growing a patch of Egyptian Walking
onions for several years now (11 to be exact) and although I had initially
thought that they were medieval seem top recall seeing a reference somewhere
that they were not introduced into the US until the 19th century CE. I know
that the US is not Europe but I would love to be able to use these onions in
early spring and late fall feasts when they are at their sweetest.
