It certainly appears to work well as sixths of a pound where fractions
are designated, but fractions of what, aren't. I don't recall any
particular spice wildly predominating the formula as you have
interpreted it... .

I don't know that I'd go so far as to say if it tastes good it must be
right, but I have no reason to assume it's anything but reasonable.
