Slightly ashamed of myself, I have to report that I got hooked on the
Maxime McKendry / de Falaise adaptation of "doucetys" called "Honey and
Saffron Quiche" in _Seven Hundred Years of English Cookery_, a.k.a. _The
Seven Centuries Cookbook_, very early in my SCA career. Also the
completely OOP version of darioles found in Esther Aresty's _The
Delctable Past_. Both are nominally the fault of Countess Aiden ni Lier,
who got me into SCA cookery.
