Loomi - sorry, forgot to explain - is dried whole lime, either pierced with
a pin and added to stews and such, as here, or ground. I think it is mostly
used in the Arab world to flavor lamb dishes.

Baharat means just "spice" in Arabic, IIRC, and can vary widely, from cook
to cook and region to region. I gave a recipe of a typical Arabian blend
with the original qouzih recipe. There are also some commercial blends
available (at least here).
