Durn it! Ian and I had had this conversation several months ago (all in the
interests of comparitive biology, you understand) and he'd about convinced
me to go Down Under to see for myself!  Now EVERYONE knows!

BTW, Mari, my mom gat your postcard, and loved it, but you didn't add a
return address, so she asked me to thank you for it. She hasn't been
rescheduled for surgery yet, so she's been volunteering her time at the
local Red Cross, helping the refugees from Floyd about 12 hours a day. We
should know more later this week.

Meanwhwhile, the rest of you, please keep those cards coming- they're really
brightening her day, and please include return addresses. Writing thank-you
notes is one way she's been keeping the fear and worry at bay.
