Yes, I believe I have some authentic pre-war eintopf recipes somewhere -
that was pretty much a signature dish of the era. IIRC, the Nazis even
declared an eintopf day each week. The idea was that people took the money
they saved by cooking an inexpensive one-pot meal and gave it to charity
(the charity in question being the Nazi party).
