Well, this is curious.  I live in British Columbia, Canada and I can
buy a type of crumpet which is called Australian Cumpets.  They are
not really like English Muffins or crumpets because they are more
bread like and less hole in them, in fact no holes.  I have them quite
often and get them at Save On foods or Safeway.  They may not be
traditional or even Australian, but they are sold that way.  They are
a lot like Damper but made in the shape and size of English Muffins.
