Pineapples and Spanish Moss are two different species.  Pineapple is Ananas
comosus.  Spainsh Moss is Tillandsia usneoides.

BTW, Spanish Moss is not a parasite as it does not use the host for
nourishment.  It uses the host only as physical support.
