A poll might indicate otherwise. I don't know, and don't especially
care, if I may be frank. In the interest of fairness, though, I'm as
squeamish as the next person (I think I'd off a person before I'd kill a
lamb; now watch me get arrested in fourteen seconds after such an
admission) but I haven't seen anything especially objectionable. People
are planning a class, not a snuff film, and what they're planning has
not been taking place on this list.

Alternately, does the inconvenience of deleting everything with a given
subject line outweigh the inconvenience of having to form and maintain
what amounts to a separate mailing list for those interested? It could
go either way, I suppose. I guess it depends on who's being
inconvenienced. While I won't presume to speak for others, I'm prepared
to ride that delete key. And believe me, I've been doing just that!

I agree, yes, it probably would, but it assumes we're prepared to lay
the responsibility of solving such problems on others who aren't
willingly causing them. Maybe somebody on the cooks' list can do
something about all that unsolicited advertising I receive in my e-mail,
too, while they're at it.

Please understand, I mean no disrespect and would not willingly make
anyone uncomfortable with a topic, but we might also consider that if we
let these people just have their talk, they can get it over with,
especially as they're now aware of various people's feelings in the
matter. I'm sure they wouldn't abuse the privelege. I know where too
many of them live!
