Greetings,
I have used several recipes from Take a Thousand Eggs or More by Cindy
Renfrow to get people intrested in cooking locally. I have made Apples
Royale (pg 276 vol.2), Brown fries (pg. 284 vol.2), Lozenges Fried (pg 283
vol. 2), and Rapeye (pg. 264 vol.2) with great responses. We are
attempting to start a new group so for a large percentage of our population
this is their first exposure to period cooking. I also made several
reciepes out of vol. 1 but my sister has absconded with my cookbook (isn't
that a felony?) and can't remember what they are now. You might also
suggest some of the reciepes that use flowers or other familar objects that
we today, do not consider food. I have worked with MHMR as a direct care
worker and my clients loved anything that was new or diffrent from their
ever day lives (who dosen't?). :) Hope this helps.
