Unlikely, IMO. However it would be intriguing to know if it was regularly 
used by the Norsemen who settled in Maine, Connecticut and Ohio. More 
specifically if it's use can be documented to religious ceremonies conducted 
in the Celtic stone cairns and temples that those regions are replete with.
