These flavorings are usually chemically created flavors used in liquid form. 
OTOH, many natural flavorings are actually different plants than the one on 
the label. For instance, natural flavoring on a strawberry flavored product 
usually indicates the addition of a type of guava juice which taste more like 
strawberries than a strawberry does. ;-)
