SC - Cooks adapting/Creating Recipes WAS: saffron (a really long time ago)

I just got home from a long day at work, turned on my computer in a stupor, 
and was overwhelmed and pleasantly surprised to find all the messages 
everyone posted in response to my questions yesterday, both on and off the 
list.

I appreciate everyone's suggestions and have been making a shopping list as I 
go. I can tell you're not going to let me slip quietly away :-)

I look forward to the experience of learning more from all of you and hope in 
advance that you'll forgive my repetitive questions.
