Hi,

Did anybody else catch the Biblical foods episode on Food Network
last night? It was pretty interesting about ancient foods and how
different cultures placed taboos on different items. Also how a lot
of the traditions have come down the centuries to modern day.

They showed a lot of ancient techniques used for centuries and
still used today like a stone hand grinder for wheat, a donkey powered
olive press and an oven where they bake the bread on the sides.

There was even a scene where people were dipping lettuce leaves
into a jar of clear liquid. (Sound familiar?)

I did catch a couple of things I questioned but it was a pretty neat
show. I hope they show it again soon. Hey, anything other than 18
hours a day of Emeril Lagasse!

Yers,

Gunthar
