Yes, it does have a nice ring. However, in our shire the Hall Steward is a 
totally different 'official' than the Autocrat. His/Her field of 
responsibility is limited to set up and tear down of the tables and/or 
chairs/benches for feast, feast hall decoration and cleaning of the feast 
hall. The most appropriate word, IMO, for the autocrat is 'Senschal' or 
perhaps 'Chatelaine' but those terms are already used for other purposes.
