SC - What is "period"? - long

Unless I am mistaken, The Known World Handbook, although an official SCA
publication like TI and others, does not delinate official SCA policy. It
merely outlines the current "guidelines" at the time of it's publication.
Thus, fighter's should read their current Society and Kingdom Laws for
fighting and weapon rules, not the Known World Handbook.
It is in the Known World Manual that the term autocrat and feastocrat is
used. Many people are seeking to remove these terms. Just because they are
in the "Manual" does not mean we are "stuck" with it.

I agree completely with the terms outlined in Corpora, but in the 25 plus
years I have been a member I can remember groups that did not think Vikings
were "period to Western Culture" and didn't want them to play "with us". I
have no problems with most of the changes (evolution) that has occurred
through the years.

Only one person's (MINE) humble Opinion.
