Period tents only is not standard anywhere within the SCA, thankfully. The 
MRS or the 'Enchanted Ground,' yes. It is suggested that obvious modern items 
be made to appear more period like. For instance, covering a cooler or a 
chair with a cloth of some sort but it is not a requirement. IMO, this is as 
it should be for the SCA.
