Yep. I think I'll take the very wise advice offered here over the last few
days. I'll continue my research, prepare my meals the way I like them, and
make my camp very, very happy. If I find a period recipe I am satisfied
with, I'll use it as-is. If not, I'll alter it to suit my tastes. Of
course, I will still try my best to keep it "period-oid" or whatever else you
like to call it. By the way, did I ever mention that I prepared the Feast
for the Dun Or Baronial Anniversary? Not a single period recipe to study
from, so I winged it, and got a standing ovation and requests to do
another... Of course, looking back at it I can now see one VERY serious faux
pas...Chocolate Espresso Cake? Ummm...would you believe it was an ancient
Aztec recipe??
