All true. I did briefly touch on the shelf-life/staleness issue, and the
fact that it is probably more aromatic than directly a flavor thing. In
my desire to be tactful and not simply say, "Hey, ya think maybe you've
been eating stale saffron?", I may have erred in the opposite extreme
and failed to make the point.

Hmmm. Paella Valenciana... hmmmm... let's see what's in the freezer...
