Personally I love them (unless of course they've been boiled from 
frozen, and the outside is mush and the inside is still raw, and....)

But have you tried them thinly sliced and then stirfried? In sesame oil, 
for instance? Tastes like a totally different vegetable, and perhaps more 
to your taste.
