That would be wonderful. Perhaps with some easily read period manners
books folks might be more encouraged to make their place settings/
eating style more period. Although I think we could do without throwing
the bones on the floor.

I imagine it is because hands, particularly greasy or stickly hands
are more likely to picky up pet hair and then transfer the hair into
the common pot. Yuck!
