But should it be encouraged?  If this were a Fool's Feast where 
people were well farwarned that this was going to occur, then people 
would have the option of saying, "No; I'm not going."  or "Fine, but 
I'm wearing that old cortehardie with the stain down the front."  I'm 
still awaiting documentation that food fights were widely done (I'm 
sure there was food flung, but all out fights?) and how well they 
were recieved.
