Greetings, Lord Nykademus!

Personally I shudder at the idea of food being lobbed around the feast hall.
Cleaning up the hall is one thing, but appologizing to the the gentle whose
finest garb just got something on it is an appology that I would hate to
have to make.

One of my Shirelings introduced me to the concept of the civilized food
fight which is much less messy, just as much fun, and an outlet for your
artistic talent!

Each course we serve as cooks invaribly has something that will be uneaten
or is waste. Orange peels, a few grapes, cloves, bits of bread, etc.

Our food fights center around creating something from this and presenting it
as a "gift" to another person at the feast. (A wedge of rind from an orange
makes a great boat hull, btw.) The person recieving this gift may embellish
the gift further with their own items, or create a completely new item.

This is lots of fun, and I've seen some items that are truly a spectacle to
behold that were created in this manner. I've personally witnessed sailboats
with crew, heraldic devices, a house... and other amusing and perhapd bawdy
presentations that have been made in this manner.

Even if you can't implement this type of food fight for the event that
you're cooking at, try it sometime. It's fun, and helps us earn our keep as
creative folks. :)

Fellow Cooks, is this practice local to the northern area of Atlantia, or
are their others that play this game as well?
