Balthazar,
I don't like the Toys for Tots tourneys because we are charging the fighters
a fee to participate in the Tourney.  ( A toy) Have you been to a toy store
lately?  A decent toy costs $10-20.  Now if you want to buy a toy to put in
the barrel fine, but do it in PRIVATE, I would rather give a family
Christmas Dinner  than  a toy.  It is not the toy but the concept of well we
gave a child a toy, I have done a good thing.    Would you have done it if
there was no Toys for Tots?  Some would I am not saying you wouldn't.
It Smacks of Look at US the SCA gave X amount of toys this year to the
Marines to give to Poor Children.   Why not invite the families that get the
toys to dinner with a SCA family as well and spread some Holiday Cheer!

Spend time with Children and they will never forget it!
