Heh--this just made me think--at an event a few weeks
ago, a lady helping us cook was discoursing at length
on lactose intolerance--down to symptoms and such.
(It just got a little overly detailed--no lack of
sympathies to the lactose intolerant in our midst.)

I responded without thinking at one point, "Yeah,
I'm lactose intolerant myself--I'm planning on
punching
a cow later".  She didn't get it.  

The other cooks did.  Including the other lactose
intolerant in the group.
