The Cranberries available in the market are, SFAIK, high bush cranberries are 
New World. The blueberries we have are also North American in origin. I 
believe the European 'blueberry' is actually the whortle berry which is also 
a different variety than those found in the New World. And, yes, not having 
recipes clearly would bar their use in my kitchen unless I found reference to 
them being used in that context with clear details regarding that use.
