I can understand the concern with the medical waste, however, the drop in the 
population of sea creatures in directly attributable to the fact that garbage 
and waste no longer enter the sea in the quantities it did before this 
century. Not all of modern man's ideas to 'better' nature necessarily are 
accurate nor are they 'good' for nature. Perhaps for the human species 
regarding 'health' yes, but in the big picture our exclusion of waste 
products emptying into the seas has resulted in and continues to result it a 
dramatic decrease in the population of sea creatures.
