Wouldn't the very act of canning the apple juice be
the equivalent of pasteurizing?
I know that when I can, the fruit and juices inside
are boiling in order for the lids to seal.
And if $1 a piece is too expensive, you can find
canning jars in thrift stores. I have seen them here
for as little as 25¢ a piece. Just be sure that the
jars lip is smooth and not chipped, or it will not
seal properly.
