Went checking the local market after my previous post. You are correct. What 
is commonly called 'cornflour' is 'corn starch' while corn flour is labeled 
most often as 'masa farina.' Masa farina is a much smaller grind than 'corn 
meal.' Also at the local health food store is a product labeled 'corn flour' 
which is as finely ground as wheat flour but is made of corn. It is great as 
breading on fish, etc. :-)
