Is _any_ of it period? (For those of you who will refer to the caviar, I
respond, "BZZZTTT!!! Only if it's pressed like botargo..." And great
grated on pastas, oiled breads, and salads, too!)

I guess my point was that this requires a certain non-Stoic definition
of decadent, i.e. it is not a bad thing. I'm sure this laurel is not as
decadent, in the strictest sense, as all that. As I say, probably
hedonistic and almost certainly an Epicurean, but not decadent.
