Current Hollywood trades mention that Smith, Coltrane and the three lead kids
have been inked, and that Harris and Rickman are in talks about the roles of
Dumbledore and Snape.

The photo of the kids has been circulating for a couple of days, and they're
=perfect.= The girl cast for Hermione is shorter than the boys, but it's
possible to be short and still be a bossy genius kid. [tongue in cheek here...
none of you knew me before age 20, but I am still a recovering Hermione.]

Atkinson would probably be game for the Moody role, but of course they won't get
to Book 4 as a movie for some time. If we're casting out of "Blackadder," how
about "Baldrick" Tony Robinson as Peter/Wormtail and "Prince George" Hugh Laurie
as Guilderoy Lockhart? It's worth noting here that Robbie Coltrane, who is cast
as Hagrid, appeared in Blackadder The Third as Dr. Samuel Johnson.

You've got to be really carefull playing "The Casting Game" online. I think I
started the persistant rumour about Kenneth Branagh as the younger Obi-Wan
Kenobi accidentally, back in 94 or so, when I was a chat host on eWorld, during
a particularly lively session of speculation about the rumoured return of the
Star Wars films.
