Sodden. A grammatical variant. Boiled artichokes, presumably the hearts.

Eden not only lives in Sea Otter country, IIRC, and may prefer them
alive and cavorting, but also doesn't like fish. Which, if sea otters do
taste fishy, might explain this somewhat.
