All majotr supermarkets sell dried currants. They are easy to find throughout 
the US. Simply look in the raisin section. They will be in a box labeled 
Zante Currants. Actual dried currants are not what is meant in these recipes 
but rather Raisins of Coranth (currants=courance=currants)

Stefan should, by this time, have an extensive file on currants as they 
appear in period recipes.
