That would be my thought, too, as the books have no more to do with
paganism or Satanism than any other kids' fantasy. Actually, I suspect
that the humorless folk who are advocating banning Harry may well be doing
so not so much for religious reasons but (if they have actually glanced at
the books) because they find certain characterizations come a bit too
close to the bone.

(And somewhere, in a seminary, someone is writing a paper on 'Christian
motifs in _Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire_: The taint of sin and the
communion of saints' *grin*)
