At the lunch-mall next to campus at UC-Irvine, 'C for Cha' recently opened.
They sell a drink involving black or green tea, optional fruit juices,
optional condensed milk and optional 'pearls'. (It takes several tries to
work out what combination of the above is tasty to you.) The drinks come
with a really wide straw--at first it's a little disconcerting to have lumps
of starch come up the straw, but then the texture of the pearls in your
mouth is kind of neat. The whole fruit-starch-milk combination makes for a
very filling drink. A large one will do for a light lunch.
