I presume you are asking because of Heather Mayo's request that the West
Kingdom's Wooden Spoon be a banana recipe. It seems like she cited the banana
peel in the Tudor trash as evidence that she was not asking for a non-period
contest as she did with the pumpkins at crown.

In talking with her for more details, she said that she wanted 14th century
dishes using a banana. Her idea was not that you would be able to find ANY
banana recipes but that you should pretend you are a 14th century cook who has
been handed this weird fruit. Using your existing recipes, what you you make of
it?

Sir Hilary opined that the only way to go on this would be to make a dish using
period ingredients that 'looked like' this weird fruit.

Good Luck!
Beatrice
