Do keep pursuing the yeast bread line. You will get better with practice
and you will never ever look back. I first attempted baking yeast bread a
few years ago and my first rolls bounced! Now I have to bake at least
three loaves every morning to keep my family and friends appeased. I don't
mind that much now since I have an industrial sized oven in my kitchen now,
but I hope you have the patience. Nothing beats a loaf of freshly made
bread of whatever variety.
