PITA solution: Could you go so far as having those who practice and belong
to period cooking guilds boycott feast stewarding? Especially for events
such as coronation/crown tourney?

REALLY being PITA solution:Or perhaps cooking a period feast for those who
want it and serving the Princess and Prince fast food? (does one get
banished for things like this?)

Being more reasonable: Has anyone asked her why? Did she perhaps have an
unpleasant experience with period food? Is she a picky eater? Maybe a good
solution is to serve simple, period food without telling her until after she
has enjoyed it.
Does she have alot of food allergies? Perhaps was her ear bent by those
who are picky eaters and complain about "period food"? Is her perception
that she concerned that the cost of making period food is more expensive
than non period food? (which is not true!)
