The only copy I have of a period manuscript for Charlemagne is this one
in the INFO-SOURCES section:
Inven-Charle-man (12K) 7/30/98 Inventory of Charlemange's estates.

I do have at least one more document from Charlemagne, but since I
couldn't
figure out where to put it in the files, I haven't finished editing it.
I will
push this closer to the top of the editing queue if desired.

Someone was asking about Carolingian garden info. I can't remember if this
was you, Valoise or not. I know I have an article specifically on
Carolingian gardens that I got at the last Pennsic, but I don't think I
have put it online yet.

You might find some of these bibliographies and files in the PLANTS, HERBS
AND SPICES section useful, though:
gardens-msg (17K) 9/ 9/99 Medieval gardens. flowers.
gardening-bib (9K) 6/ 3/99 Bibliography on medieval gardening
                                       by Raisya Khorivovna.
p-agriculture-bib (19K) 3/23/99 Bibliography of period agricultural
                                       practices by Laurie Brandt (Pegasus)
p-herbals-msg (24K) 11/16/99 Period herb books. Modern editions.
Palladius-art (41K) 11/18/99 Palladius' treatise on gardening 1420.
