Err, Lanie,

I seem to remember that Tolland Man, and a couple of other boggies that were
killed for "ritual purposes" (?) had stuff in their tummies that would
support her idiotic assertions.  If I remember correctly the stomach
contents consisted of various grains, some burned eaten in what might have
been a gruel or a bannock.

How about contacting Dr. Irish and getting his take on being quoted as an
authority on Y1K in the European middle ages.

Why is it that these people can never see beyond exotic spices brought from
a thousand miles away to the herbs that grew in almost every dooryard or
garden when they write about medieval cooking!
