Ras,

Yams are of African origin and were probably brought into Europe early in
the 14th Century.

The term "turkey" was also used to describe guinea fowl, which were
apparently imported into Europe in Antiquity and appear to have been
re-introduced by the Portuguese in the 14th Century.

Vigna sinensis (includes yard-long beans and black-eyed peas) were eaten in
Italy by the 16th Century and probably were earlier. There is a school of
thought which equates them to the "kidney beans" in Platina.

There are at least three species of European strawberry of which one is
alpine, all apparently harvested from the wild prior to the 14th Century,
when they began to be transplanted in manor gardens. Most modern commercial
strawberries are a hybrid between the Virginia strawberry and the Chilean
strawberry created in the 18th Century (IIRC).
