Concerning rabbit as "strange" food, Christi Rigby writes:

I buy my rabbit at a local supermarket.  It's an "upsacle" supermarket, true, 
but a supermarket nonetheless, and quartered rabbits are always in the meat 
case, between the chicken and the pork.
