SC - Digests

Due to the large number of requests concerning my 'happy' new year, I decided 
that the best thing was to post the story to the list. As you read this, 
remember 'Only in America. Land of the Free. (NOT!)'  :-(

My house is nestled in the center of a circle of surrounding houses. I was 
shooting off bottle rockets to 'ring' in the New Year when the people in 
front of me shot off their shotgun. The people behind brought out a 9 mm 
handgun and shot several shots into the air. A lady in another house called 
the police and told them I was firing a gun within the city limits.

By the time the police arrived my house was the only house that still had 
lights on. I heard a knock on the door. It was a policeman. I opened the door 
and then the screen door. At that point, without explanation, the SS 
trooper...er, I mean 'politzei'..er...policeman. ... grabbed me and slammed 
me against the wall holding my arms at an awkward and painful angle behind my 
back. Another proceeded to touch every part of my body looking for what I 
found out later was a gun. The only gun they found was not the type they were 
looking for although they made a point of squeezing it a time or two to make 
sure.

About this time my roommate came out and he was immediately submitted to the 
same degrading search except to add insult to injury they threw everything he 
had in his pockets onto the driveway pavement as they found it. When all was 
said and done and they actually took time to tell us why they were there, I 
wanted to both laugh and spit in their faces but refrained from doing so 
because they were carrying weapons which are currently illegal for anyone to 
possess under the current gutting of our right to bear arms. I also resisted 
the urge to reach out and see what sort of 'guns' they had hidden in the 
crotches of their pants. Sort of a 'gun' show and tell. :-)

Anyway, the 'truth' finally came out and they made some sort of ridiculous 
'apology' noises. The 7 black shirts (or were they blue?) then got in their 
four (count 'em....4) police cars and drove off to terrorize other law 
abiding citizens. 

Yep, your typically tax dollar at work supporting heavily armed overreactive 
thugs, running around in groups, groping innocent people. I went to bed 
feeling less safer and even more convinced that freedom in America is a myth 
in the minds of idle dreamers.

Hats off to our finest! NOT!
