Since your ridicule (of which this is just a small example) is based on a
thorough falsification of what I said, I welcome it. Are you so desperate
for any argument against me that you must now put obviously stupid words
into my mouth and then insult me for what I did not say? To set the record
straight, I am not saying that all (or even more than a few) of the
interpretations in question are inaccurate. I did not say so, I shall not
say so, and you cannot make me say so. I only said that they are not exactly
redactions, which is just fine because they shouldn't be redactions.

It seems to me that you are blindly (or even willfully) assuming a circular
argument. You assume to begin with that "redaction" must be the best word
for a written modern interpretation of a period recipe. Then when someone
says that such interpretations do not fit the word "redaction," even though
they are arguing that this is the wrong word, you assume that they must have
meant that such interpretations, not being proper redactions, are
inaccurate. This is a lapse of reason such as has been out of fashion among
intelligent people almost since the middle ages. Could you have been capable
of such a misunderstanding, or was this a deliberate and deceitful insult?
