SC - Crown Tourney feast (was: Coronation feast)

Thanks for the quote Elizabeth. I'll try and pick up the book. 

Well we now have a site (hoorah!) - problem is the kitchen is apparently
very small and only has one conventional oven. Fortunately it's only 5
minutes away from where the autocrat lives and she has a larger kitchen. I'm
looking into hiring gas burners. This means most of the feast will have to
be stewed, boiled, etc or cold. 

Question: I want this to be as authentic as possible - can I get away with
not providing a roast meat of some variety? If not, would they ever have
provided the roast meat cold? or were they only provided hot? 

Yep, it's Crown not Coronation (they both start with a "C" OK?)
